In this post, we will be reviewing the Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table, weighing up the pros and cons of buying one and making a few other suggestions. It is our hope that after reading this, you will find it much easier to decide whether this table is right for you.

Joola Rally TL 300 Table
In this review, we will be looking at the following factors…
- Features
- Price
- Customer Satisfaction
- Recommendations
- The Final Word
1. Features
The Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table features a 15mm charcoal painted MDF playing top, 30mm by 30mm powder coated undercarriage to prevent rust, 4 durable locking casters and an double anti-tilting device for safe transport. It has a playback feature (meaning you can put half of the table up to hit against – if you want to). And it can also be stored away very compact.
The table feels sturdy to the touch, and coupled with the seamless finish on the playing surface which offers consistent play, everything looks great so far.
15mm Table Top
The only weakness of the Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table we can point out is the playing surface. 15mm is on the thin side of playing tops and as such you can expect slower play and a lower bounce than you would get with a thicker table.
Ben talk’s a lot more about the importance of table thickness in his comprehensive article The Best Table Tennis Tables but, in short, competition tables are 25mm thick and you really need a table to be 19mm thick in order to get a “decent” bounce.
If you are just looking for a table to use for a bit of fun, recreational table tennis, and maybe a bit of training here and there, then getting the Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table would be a good choice. However, if you are used to playing on “proper” tables, or planning on learning how to play table tennis at a club or perhaps playing competitively, then a 15mm table might not meet your standards.
The Undercarriage
With each half being mounted on 30mm by 30mm heavy duty powder coated legs you can expect the table to sit stiff and also rust-proof. The 4 wheels located on each side, with locking casters, give you access to easy transport of the 150 pound table (75 pounds per half). Having a double anti-tilting device further eases this and makes for safer mobility.
By all means the Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table is a solid choice. Providing a robust design that easily carries itself and allows for only one person assembly make it a top-notch one.
Some Added Extras
The Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table comes with a number of extras that we found added a small edge to the whole package. Upon purchase you get four Joola patented corner ball holders that each hold three 40mm balls and two magnetic abacus score-keepers.
To allow for the corner ball holders the supports on the undercarriage had to fall a bit short. This isn’t the biggest of deals but it is something we noticed right away. Also, the magnetic score-keepers are low quality and are a bit flimsy.
2. Price
The Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table sells on Amazon.com for just $399.99. It is by all means a quality table that offers great recreational play and comes with high grade adjustable net which should be included in tables of this range.
You can’t compare this table to professional grade ones as it comes in at less than half the cost of one. It does, however, provide good and consistent play.
3. Customer Satisfaction
There has been nothing but good news said about this table on Amazon. Here are a few of the words we saw…
“I would order this table again in a heartbeat! It was just so nice opening it up and seeing the difference in quality and knowing our investment was well spent and that this table will last years and years.”
“Easy to assemble and made of high quality material. Very easy to move around from room to room. Even though it is 2 separate half’s of a table, it stays together under heavy playing. Love the storage for extra balls.”
“Super easy to assemble. Plays beautifully. Easy to slide, move, fold, and store. Couldn’t be happier.”
4. Recommendations
Is this table right for you?
If you are looking for a decent, good value table…
By all means get the Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table! It is one of the best tables we’ve seen under $400.
If you can do away with the added extras you can also take a look at the Stiga Advantage. We recommend this table over all of the other value options available.
If you want a professional grade table that is “competition-ready”…
You’ll need to invest in a table with at least a 22mm playing surface – and that is going to be a fair bit more expensive.
Our favourite 22mm table, at a reasonable price, is the Butterfly Match 22 Rollaway. For roughly $850 you can buy a high-performance table from the leading brand in table tennis. That’s twice the price of the basic Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table, though.
5. The Final Word
The Joola Rally TL 300 Table Tennis Table is a solid choice for a value table. The extras make it stand out, but do not really affect play. It is a good choice, but for best value for money we recommend getting the Stiga Advantage which is also sold on Amazon.com for $399.99.
Buy the Joola Rally TL 300 on Amazon.com for $399.99- But we recommend getting the Stiga Advantage for $399.99
