1. Features
The Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table features a 4mm aluminum composite table top, sturdy powder coated metal legs and wheels with locking casters. It has a playback feature (meaning you can put half of the table up to hit against – if you want to). And it can also be stored away very compact.
You really do get an outdoor table when you purchase the Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table. Some other tables are advertised as “outside” but must be stored inside.
4mm Table Top
One of the downsides of this table is the playing surface you are given. Yes, it is made of the usual outdoor aluminum composite material like the other outdoor tables but being 4mm it is on the thin side.
This means that you can’t expect the best bounce during play and consistency will be affected.
Another thing we would like to point out is the lack of support in the center of the table. Having a ball bounce around this area greatly dissipates the bounce and renders mediocre play. But with the price tag, what more could you expect?
The Undercarriage
The Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table performs well in this aspect. With its powder coated heavy duty steel legs and four wheels with locking casters, we can’t really complain. It was built to last outdoors and shouldn’t wear down quickly at all.
The levelers, for uneven playing surfaces, are a great add-on to the table and gave it a small edge.
Overall the undercarriage is sturdy and will see you get several playing years out of this table.
Added Extras
As advertised on Amazon.com the Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table comes with a net, posts to hold the net up, 4 bats, 8 balls, a storage pack (for the balls and bats) and a clear protective cover to slip over the table when not in use. It all sounds great! BUT we have several things to say about this.
The net is quite flimsy and sags even after being just set up. It is by no means a quality net. The bats and balls also follow suit by being low grade and not allowing you to play how you would normally.
This being said, you are paying a rock bottom price for the Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table, so you can expect the extras to be there but not to perform.
2. Price
The Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table is sold on Amazon.com for just $379.00. It is one of the cheapest outdoor tables out there and you shouldn’t expect a lot from the table. You are, however, getting what you paid for – a usable outdoor table that will survive out in your backyard or garage.
3. Customer Satisfaction

If you play quite often and want a consistent table…
Then the Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table is not the table for you. Its 4mm table top offers mediocre play and will not excite the avid table tennis player.
For a little bit more, about $120, you could get the Joola Nova Outdoor Table Tennis Table on Amazon.com for $499.00. It offers more consistent play (6mm table top) and would be a better choice for the long run.

The Harvil Outsider Table Tennis Table is a playable outdoor table that is built to last in your yard or garage. Being rock-bottom priced you can expect little quality from the table.
Reviews on the table have not been great and we would highly recommend saving the money for at least the Joola Nova Outdoor Table Tennis Table. Harvil hasn’t quite been able to match the quality and performance of the tables from the better-known brands.
