Whether you’re looking for a premade or custom table tennis racket, we’re here to help you select the racket that’s right for you. In the UK, we normally call them table tennis bats. In the US, they are often referred to as ping pong paddles. It’s all just semantics! On this page, you can find all of our table tennis racket reviews.

Our Favourite Table Tennis Rackets

Below are two of our favorite table tennis rackets, with links to the full reviews and where you can buy them. For further help selecting a table tennis racket, check out Ben’s complete guide to The Best Table Tennis Bats for Beginners.

Palio Expert 2

Palio Expert 2 Table Tennis Bat & Case“The best premade table tennis racket for beginners!”

The Palio Expert 2 is an exclusive collaboration between Palio and Expert Table Tennis. It’s one of the bestselling table tennis rackets on Amazon!

It features Palio CJ8000 rubbers, that provide great spin and are ITTF approved, and an allround wooden blade with a comfortable flared handle. Read our full review here.

Eastfield Allround

Eastfield Allround Bat and Case (1)“The best custom table tennis racket for beginners!”

The Eastfield Allround is the perfect racket for beginners and improvers who are learning the sport of table tennis and value control and feeling over speed and power.

This is an extremely high-quality custom table tennis racket that has been glued together and cut by hand. It features an Eastfield Allwood 5-ply blade and two sheets of Eastfield A-Soft 2.1mm ITTF approved tournament rubber. Read our full review here.

Table Tennis Racket REVIEWS

Here are links to all of our table tennis racket reviews, sorted by brand name. You can also click here to check out our most recent racket reviews.

Blutenkirsche Rackets

Blutenkirsche sounds German but it is actually part of a Chinese brand called Tianjin Tuttle. The following Blutenkirsche table tennis bats are popular in the UK (distributed by Custom Table Tennis) but we prefer the Palio alternatives. The Force is the cheapest and the Black Mamba Carbon is the most expensive.

Butterfly Rackets

Butterfly are the biggest name in table tennis but they’ve never really sorted out their premade racket offerings. It appears that different Butterfly rackets are available based on the country and very few are any good. The Butterfly 401 is the most popular. You can buy Butterfly rackets from Megaspin.net!

  • Butterfly 201
  • Butterfly 302
  • Butterfly 401
  • Butterfly 501
  • Butterfly 603
  • Butterfly Kong Linghui
  • Butterfly Zhang Jike

Caleson Rackets

Cornilleau Rackets

Cornilleau were the first table tennis brand to start selling plastic/rubber outdoor rackets. You can’t use these at tournaments but they are brilliant for outdoor tables, schools, and youth clubs because they are so durable. Following their success loads of other brands have jumped on the bandwagon.

Cornilleau also has a range of more traditional table tennis rackets under the names Perform and Excell. The standard rule applies – the higher the number the better the racket, and the higher the price too. You can find Cornilleau rackets on Amazon.

  • Cornilleau Perform 500
  • Cornilleau Perform 600
  • Cornilleau Perform 800
  • Cornilleau Excell 1000
  • Cornilleau Excell 2000
  • Cornilleau Excell 3000

DHS Rackets

DHS, also known as Double Happiness, is the biggest and most well-known Chinese table tennis company. They have six premade table tennis rackets. The A1002 is a very cheap and basic racket. The A6002 is close to professional standard and features Hurricane and Tinarc rubbers. You can buy most of these rackets from Tabletennis11.com!

Donic-Schildkröt Rackets

Donic is a well-known and respected table tennis brand that make professional equipment used by some of the world’s top players. Unfortunately, Donic-Schildkröt products (aimed at the beginner market) are completely different. Their Carbotec range of rackets is a bit of a rip off of Cornilleau’s Tacteo and Nexeo outdoor range.

  • Donic-Schildkrot Carbotec 20
  • Donic-Schildkrot Carbotec 50
  • Donic-Schildkrot Carbotec 100

The Donic-Schildkröt Waldner series of rackets are often found in your typical sports shop. They are fine for anybody wanting something basic but we don’t feel like they are good quality rackets or good value for money. Chinese premade table tennis rackets (like those sold by Palio) are far superior.

  • Donic-Schildkrot Waldner 400
  • Donic-Schildkrot Waldner 500
  • Donic-Schildkrot Waldner 600
  • Donic-Schildkrot Waldner 700
  • Donic-Schildkrot Waldner 800
  • Donic-Schildkrot Waldner 900
  • Donic-Schildkrot Waldner 1000

Dunlop Rackets

Dunlop Sport is a British sporting goods company that is owned by SportsDirect.com. Dunlop table tennis rackets are quite popular in the UK, despite them being largely rubbish. Avoid all the ones will silly names like “Nitro” or “Venom Power” for sure – they are loads of them. The Evolution and Revolution bats are a little better, but still not the best you can buy. They are also relatively expensive for what you get.

  • Dunlop Evolution 1000
  • Dunlop Evolution 2000
  • Dunlop Evolution 3000
  • Dunlop Revolution 4000
  • Dunlop Revolution 5000
  • Dunlop Revolution 6000
  • Dunlop Revolution 7000

Eastfield Rackets

Eastfield is a new British table tennis brand started in 2014 by Ben Larcombe and Sam Priestley. Their vision is to make racket selection easy by combining compatible professional rubbers and blades to create the perfect ready-made racket. You won’t find better quality than these.

Killerspin Rackets

Killerspin is a US brand that caters largely to the recreational table tennis market. Their JET “ping pong paddles” (as they like to call them) are among some of the most popular on Amazon.com! The JET800 paddle is the best and most expensive. Killerspin is also beginning to expand outside of the US.

Palio Rackets

Palio produces some of our favourite premade table tennis rackets. Their latest series is made up of three rackets that were made in collaboration with ExpertTableTennis.com and are among the best sellers on Amazon.

Pasol Rackets

Peak Rackets

Slyspin Rackets

Stag Rackets

Stiga Rackets

Stiga doesn’t have a particularly good reputation when it comes to premade table tennis rackets. What they have to offer is usually of a poor quality and seriously overpriced. Their latest range of five rackets certainly isn’t cheap either, but the top-of-the-range Pro Carbon racket is actually pretty good. Buy them from Amazon.com!

  • Tibhar Samsonov 2000 Pro

Vigilante Rackets

  • Vigilante Offender
  • Vigilante Black Bayonet
  • Vigilante War Scythe
  • Vigilante Machete
  • Vigilante Collision

Xiom Rackets

Xiom has four premade shakehands table tennis rackets. We like that they have kept their range quite compact as there is really no need to create hundreds of different premade rackets. All four of these rackets are actually pretty good – and they look really nice too. Buy them from Tabletennis11.com!

  • Xiom MUV 4.0 S
  • Xiom MUV 5.5 S
  • Xiom MUV 7.0 S
  • Xiom MUV 9.0 S

Yasaka Rackets

Yasaka has got a lot of different premade table tennis rackets. They’ve got some cheap ones, like Sting and Champ; and some fairly expensive ones, like Mark V Carbon. Remember – you often get what you pay for!
